Ministry of Information, One Road Group, and One Road Charity Foundation of China Collaborate on Humanitarian Activities

Phnom Penh, July 2, 2024 – Minister of Information Neth Pheaktra, in collaboration with One Road Group and the One Road Charitable Foundation of China, has initiated a series of humanitarian activities aimed at supporting needy students and local communities in Kratie province. These efforts include the distribution of school bags and supplies, as well as medical examinations and the provision of eyeglasses, all offered free of charge to the local population.

In addition, the Ministry of Information and One Road Group are organizing a friendly football match in Kratie province to encourage youth to engage in sports and steer clear of drugs. This initiative is promoted under the slogans "One People, One Sport" and "Play Sports to Stay Away from Drugs."

The collaboration was formalized during a meeting between Minister Neth Pheaktra and Kevin Lou, CEO and Founder of One Road Group and Chairman of the One Road China Charitable Foundation, on the afternoon of July 1, 2024.

Minister Neth Pheaktra, who also chairs the Education Promotion Committee of the Anti-Drug Campaign Command, detailed the plans for the youth football match in Kratie province. The event aims to promote sports and foster a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among the general public.

He also announced a project to provide free medical examinations and health care services to the people in Kratie province, including eye exams and the distribution of eyeglasses.

On this occasion, Minister Neth Pheaktra expressed his gratitude to Great Wall Motor (GWM) for their support, as well as to the One Road Charity Foundation for donating more than 1,000 school bags and study materials. These items were initially distributed to children by officials from the Ministry of Information on International Children's Day, June 1, and the remaining supplies will be given to students in need in Kratie province.

Kevin Lou reaffirmed his commitment to continuing the cooperation with the Ministry of Information in future humanitarian activities.
